This late in the season, ice rinks are no longer maintained or shoveled by the City but are still open to the public during normal park hours to use at your own discretion.  Winter Recreation warming shelters are closed for the season. 

During the Winter months the City of Appleton provides a total of four outdoor ice skating locations, Appleton Memorial Park, Highview Park, Erb Park and Jones Park. Each location is available to the public free of charge.

Please note: For the safety of all, hockey is only permitted on the Jones Park Hockey Rink, the Erk Park Hockey Pond and AFIC Outdoor Rink at designated times. All other ice rinks are for recreational skating only. 

Highview Park Ice Rink

Bring your ice skates to the ice rink addition located within Highview Park at 100 W. Wayfarer Ln.

 

Jones Park Ice Rink (Warming area & restrooms)

One of the first parks to be developed specifically for winter sports purposes for the City of Appleton. Jones Park features a full size outdoor hockey rink, outdoor recreation skating rink and a supervised winter recreation center that offers restrooms, warming areas accompanied with a wood burning fireplace and concessions.

Location: 301 West Lawrence Street

Hours, weather permitting:

Monday - Friday 5:00 P.M. - 8:30 P.M.

Saturday & Sunday 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

 Appleton Memorial Park Ice Rink (Warming area & restrooms)

Outdoor ice rink provided right outside the Appleton Family Ice Center (AFIC), maintained by Appleton Parks & Recreation. Restrooms, warming area and first aid available within the AFIC.

Location: 1717 East Witzke Boulevard
Open Hockey Day hours everyday, except during open skate
Open Skate: Saturdays 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.
 

Skates may be rented inside the ice center (ask at concession stand) $2.00 each

 Erb Park Ice Rink (Warming area & restrooms)

Located within Erb Park, 1800 North Morrison Street. Warming areas, first aid and restrooms are available within the warming shelter. Food and drinks are not provided at the warming shelter, but carry ins are welcomed. Ice skate rentals and lockers are not available at this location so remember to bring your own ice skates.  Pond hockey (unboarded) rink is also available.
