Outdoor Ice Skating

Erb rinkGeneral Ice Skating Information

During the winter months the City of Appleton currently provides three outdoor ice skating locations, Appleton Memorial Park, Highview Park and Colony Oaks. Each location is available to the public free of charge.

Please note: For the safety of all, hockey is only permitted on the AFIC Outdoor Rink at designated times. All other ice rinks are for recreational skating only.

Highview Park Ice Rink

Bring your ice skates to the ice rink addition located within Highview Park at 100 W. Wayfarer Ln.


Jones Park: This facility will be closed this season due to the construction of the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.

Appleton Memorial Park Ice Rink (Warming area & restrooms)

Outdoor ice rink provided right outside the Appleton Family Ice Center (AFIC), maintained by Appleton Parks & Recreation. Restrooms, warming area and first aid available within the AFIC.

Location: 1717 East Witzke Boulevard
Open Hockey Day hours everyday, except during open skate
Open Skate: Saturdays 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Skates may be rented inside the ice center (ask at concession stand) $2.00 each

Erb Park: This facility will not be available to the construction of Erb Park and Pool this year.

Colony Oaks Park Ice Rink

Or you can bring your ice skates to the ice rink addition located within Colony Oak at 801 N. Briarcliff Dr.
